Purpleheart Cheese Board

This board is made from Brazilian Purpleheart. When this wood arrives at the Vermont shop, it's gray. They then plane it down to a smooth surface, sand it numerous times then set it outside to let it oxidize and get its purple color. Once the color becomes vibrant, they put their finish on quickly. If they wait too long, the purple turns back to a more modest gray. These pieces are truly purple and beautiful. They measure at 11" x 7" and come mounted on rubber feet with stainless steel screws. Includes a stainless steel cheese knife!
